Gen 3 Portals Are Geared for All
When we say our Gen 3 portals are geared for all, we mean it. No two riders are the same, and that’s why we don’t build “one size fits all” portals. With SuperATV’s GDP 6” Portal Gear Lift for the Polaris Ranger XP 1000, you get to choose between a 30% or 45% gear reduction, and you also get a say in how we make the aluminum housings. There’s no better way to give your Ranger more ground clearance and change your gear ratio without tearing into your transmission or messing up your steering geometry.
GDP—the Most Trusted Name in Portals
Whichever GDP Portal Gear Lift you choose, you can rest assured knowing that you’re riding on the most trusted portals on the market—built by the experts, just for you. More riders are running SuperATV’s GDP Portals than any other brand for one simple reason: they’re the best.
Perfect for Mud
If mud riding is your thing, you already know that portals are a must. The extra clearance gives you enough room to run those massive mud tires you’ve been eyeballing, and a gear reduction lets you chew through the thickest mud with ease. These portals are built for performance, and what better stage to perform on than a mud pit?
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
Putting the gear reduction in the hub means less stress is put on your drivetrain. Your axles, prop shaft, differential, and transmission won’t be working overtime to compensate for the lift, ensuring longer-lasting components. Your machine’s most vital parts will thank us.
Unmatched Gear Material
The gears are the most essential piece of a portal gear lift, and that’s why we build our portals using the most premium, top-of-the-line gears out there. They’re made with 9310 alloy steel and are precision ground so they always mate perfectly and stay smooth and quiet.
Stronger Housings by Design
We know what causes housings to fail, and we use that knowledge to bring you GDP portal housings that are smarter and stronger by design. So whether you go with cast or USA-made 6061 billet aluminum with a CNC-machined finish, you’re getting a portal housing that offers unmatched strength and reliability. Trust us—we’ve got the experience and the riders on the trail to prove it.
- Our housings are reinforced in all the right places
- They’re built with better oil flow and gearing forces in mind
- There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get
Our 5/16” thick backing plates are made with an advanced steel alloy. If you think this is just like any ordinary steel, think again—the material we use for our backing plates is specialized for ultra-high force applications. It’s even stronger than chromoly and with how thick we make it, it’s going to outlast your machine’s lifetime by a long shot. We won’t settle for less on our backing plates, and neither should you.
Advanced Gaskets and Seals
Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:
- Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets with excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
- A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
- 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
Bearings That Rock
A bad bearing means a busted box, so you can bet we’re not cutting any corners in this department either. Bearings are what keeps everything running smoothly. We don’t compromise on strength, which is why we use roller bearings to hold our idler gear. Our output bearing is a double-angular contact bearing, meaning it can handle huge loads in any direction without wearing prematurely. When we say our bearings are the best, we mean it. They’re built for battle and just another reason why GDP portals are second to none.
Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors
Our precision-ground, stainless steel slotted rotors are designed to stay cool and give you the braking power you need, when you need it. And our universal hubs are just another feature we threw in to make your life easier! They come with 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs—in other words, you’re able to run just about any side-by-side wheels in the world. We also invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to. It gives you a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time.
